A native Californian and relatively recent transplant to Los Angeles from San Francisco, I am in my second year of law school at UCLA. Life in Southern California is a not-too-distant cousin to that in Northern California - definitely more of a difference in degree than in kind. My primary interests lie in language (especially Germanic and Latinate but any linguistic trivia can get my goat), film (big horror buff and fan of the off-beat, atmospheric and evocative), the classics (the foundation on which our cultural tropes lie), wanderings in the political wilderness, aesthetics, fitness, science (not just beakers and Bunsen burners but rather the scientific method itself, the path through which all real knowledge is achieved, whether such path is acknowledged or not), musings on being gay in this largely post-gay liberation era, urbanism, and a general awareness of the world in which I live. Oh, and I'm single, too. And apparently an ENTJ Field Marshal. Who knew?
